i usually day trade w 1d 7 1d 15 1d 30 and 1d unfiltered all open at the same time .. today all were in alignment w the exception of the 1d 7 expiration. my inexperience w the tool forced me to exit my short sooner than i could have but like you i am working on becoming a very disciplined trader. do you primarily trade off the 1d unfiltered? my thought process after today events was to give equal weight to all 4 filters.

I only trade off of default. You’re inviting a ton of noise when you introduce the other expiry’s. I hate noise. I think the best traders keep it simple-but with that said-if your way works for you, keep using it! don’t fix what isn’t broken ❤️

having all 4 windows allows a user to see TCF before it happens which is useful for trend .. i prefer to keep it simple too and i keep my chart as minimalist as possible .. ill be giving much higher weight to 1d unf moving forward and had been documenting that in my notes as well. thank u for responding!

no i actually open 4 separate tabs and bresk the scream into 4 quads since flowline does not provide momentum/convergence histo's at the bottom! appreciate your work matthew keep it up!

This is pretty dope! Love the way you added examples to illustrate how to best use it.

how much “lag” do u account for in MNF when it is running normalized? reason i ask is many times when the MNF entry signal hits we are outside of the A+ entry .. I find that you have to get in early and pick your exit and i never have good luck chasing or re-entering after an MNF runup even when MNF offers another entry after a runup

I use MNF as confluence to determine direction, but not as much with execution of entry. you could use Convergence to enter; but yes they are late and skews your risk to reward.

thank you! are you also looking at dealer greeks buildup as part of your overall strategy?

looking at it, yes, but not to execute. Maybe if the market environment changes and I feel comfortable swinging options again, but I rarely hold for more than 30mins these days. I like my money fast and easy.
